BUSY AS A BEAVER

I find the industry of beavers endlessly fascinating. The tree in this photo is a huge birch. I should think birch, being a harder wood, are much more difficult to gnaw through than cottonwoods or aspen. It almost looks like this project has been abandoned. I'll have to check back to see if anyone is still working on it.
